Websites and web pages are different. A website is a collection of web pages that are connected to a central unique domain name. The central domain name often called the ?home page?, is the first page a user sees when they type in a web address. From there, clickable links, generally single words or phrases like ?About Us? take users to subpages, or web pages, that will have a unique domain name ( and are not directly accessed when typing in a website?s name.

A website can also be a single page, though, if it has no subpages or links to other pages under the same domain, called single-page websites.
